What happens when you Publish a Library Template
Once you publish a library template you are finalising it, you are then limited to the changes you can make to that Library Template.
- You do not have to publish a tool to reference it within a Measurment project.
- You can complete all of your testing while the Library template is in Draft
- Tools only need to be Published if they are going to be part of a Published Measurment Project
You are not able to Unpublish a Library Template once it has been published. Please contact support if this is done accidentally.
What happens when you Edit/Revise a Library Template
When you edit a Library Template:
- You are making changes within the current version of the Library Template
- If there are Measurment Projects that are already using the Tool, any changes to the Tool will be automatically applied to them
When you revise a Library Template:
- You are creating a new version of the Library Template, which you then make changes to
- If there are Measurment Projects that are already using the Library Template, any changes to newly created version of the Library Template will NOT be applied to them, since they are using an old version of the Library Template.
