End user Password recovery

Users are able to reset their own password from the login page. (login.salesforce.com)

Select β€˜Forgot Your Password’ to start a password recovery.

The Forgot your password process will require you to provide and have available;
– Your Username
– The answer to your Secret Question
– Access to your nominated email address to receive a verification code.

Administrator Password Reset

If users have been created but the user has not verified the created user account the user will end up without a valid password set or a secret question response set. In this instance Administrators will need to reset the passwords for an individual or group of users.

Single User

  • From Setup, enter Users in the Quick Find box, then select Users.
  • Select the user Full Name from the user list
  • Select Reset Password – An email will be sent to the user to renew their password and complete missing account creation steps.

Multiple Users

  • From Setup, enter Users in the Quick Find box, then select Users.
  • Tick the Action tickbox to select the users for a password reset.
  • Select Reset Password(s) – An email will be sent to the user(s) to renew their password and complete missing account creation steps.
