The end person receiving the benefits of a program
Cohort:
A group of beneficiaries taking part in a program
Contact:
A person an organization engages with. Can be stakeholders, reviewers, beneficiaries.
Dashboard:
A visual representation of averaged survey responses and response frequencies in the form of charts and graphs.
Data:
Inputs to surveys or other mechanisms as provided by beneficiaries and/or other stakeholders.
Data Collection Plan:
A plan that outlines how and when outcomes data will be collected.
Impact:
A significant effect or influence an organization has made on furthering a social cause.
Metric:
A performance indicator that indicates progress towards an outcome.
Measurement Project:
A program or initiative that an organization would like to measure the outcomes of.
Measurement Template:
A set of metrics and related questions that can be used to measure an outcome.
Outcomes:
Intended consequence of programs directed at people or the environment; mostly characterised as a change in: circumstance, knowledge, skill, behaviour or attitude.
Outcome Domains:
Broad outcome categories that might be associated with a program.
Program:
An initiative or service provided by an organization to its beneficiaries.
Program Logic:
The causal relationship between a programβs inputs, outputs and outcomes.
Survey:
A collection of questions from one or more measurement templates.
Template Library:
A curated collection of measurement templates that are either designed by an expert in the field, or have been developed by a research institution and validated as academically rigorous.
Theory of Change:
The intended short, medium and long-term consequences of a program.
